State Farm Arena, Atlanta, November 19 – Surprisingly, the Los Angeles team that was expected to have solid performances this year is not the LA Lakers but their neighbors, the LA Clippers. Right now, they have the longest active winning streak, with their 5th victory being against Atlanta Hawks.
Hawks started the game nicely with 34 points on the 1st quarter to 29 of the Clippers, and the game was quite close also on the 2nd quarter where they got outscored by the Clippers 32-30, while they still went to the break with a slight lead. The 3rd quarter seemed to be a good indicator that the Hawks have things under control now and they may win this game. However, the LA team had a different idea, as they annihilated them on both ends of the floor, they scored 38 points to only 23 of the home team. They went on to win the game 127-119 and now they have a record of 11-5, while Hawks are 3-14.
Tobias Harris had 24 points for the Clippers while also adding 8 rebounds, Montrezl Harrell had 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Lou Williams added a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists. For the losing side, despite a poor shooting performance, the rookie Trae Young is continuing to improve, as he had 25 points, 3 rebounds and 17 assists.
Clippers will be playing on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards away, while the Hawks host the Raptors.
